Screechy James Durbin is out and I am bummed. This shocking elimination leaves us with three – two boring country teen-agers who get the votes of the tweens regardless of talent and performance and hard work and one hard-working talent.
Country singers Scotty and Lauren never need to work hard because even if their performance are mediocre they get the praise of the judges who don’t really judge at all and who play favorites. In their eyes they can do no wrong! Only one real talent is left – Haley Rheinhart – the most improved contestant – who worked her ass off the top 3 because that’s just the right thing to do and the fact that she is hated by the two judges for everything and nothing, leaves her nothing but to please herself and the audience.
With James out, American Idol is getting very boring. And I cannot stand listening to country songs by boring Scotty and Lauren’s lack of passion, artistry and emotional maturity. I swear Lauren is gonna crack under pressure this time. Remember how she messed up during last week’s elimination? Would you want an emotional mess for a winner? A boring country singer? Or an entertaining blues crooner? Oh dear, America, you have to vote wisely!
Finally someone with something real to say about Ai. I’m soooo tired of the judges never saying anything bad about those two kids. They are NOT THAT GREAT!!! It’s sickening. Scotty has sucked multiple times, and Lauren has been weak other times too, but they keep playing favorites and they never point out ANYTHING wrong about them. They are extremely tough and tactless with Haley when they tear her apart with their critics. It’s unfair. I’ve been noticing for a few weeks that Jennifer is mean to her. I don’t she likes her and it shows… They treat her very differently. All I know is that the judges aren’t being a good guide to the people who vote and they are responsible for all the great talent leaving early (Casey, Pia and now James). I hope Haley wins!!! She’s a true artist.
You’re right. The judges do need to be more critical. They’ll let these performers get away with way too much. They should have called Casey on the carpet for his antics. I loved Casey. But when he devolved into constant growling he lost me. If the judges would have been more critical of that, perhaps he would have listened and adjusted his performance and they wouldn’t have had to waste their save on them. They could have used it on James. And they should have criticized Haley more. I absolutely do not understand the widespread support of Haley Reinhart. She sings like a little girl thinks a big girl should. She can’t get through a song without growling nearly every note. She almost won me over last week. She sang two songs and controlled the growling. I was finally able to see that she really was talented. But she went back to growling this week and I was done with her. How did she beat James?
Well James was a little unlucky this week coz america dozed off.
Haley will be fighting till the end, its gonna be rheinhart vs country, rheinhart vs the two judges and rheinhart vs american idol. growl! hows that?!
