Thia Meggia in American Idol 10 Top 10

Thia Megia, wearing the same sweater in bold crayon, shorts and ugg boots, looked like a lost child among appropriately dressed contestants. But this Philippine Pride made it to American Idol Season 10 Top 10. Thia who sang a slow song in perfect pitch brought solemnity to an otherwise loud competition. Her sweet voice was compared to Michael Jackson by Randy. At 15, Thia is a pro in the field of reality tv. She got into America’s Got Talent and lost. She also guested on Davide Foster’s concert. And that was it. No comment. Peace there all kababayans!

Surprisingly, Clint Jun Gamboa a half-filipino, karaoke host in San Francisco, did not make it to the top 10. The nervous Gamboa must have had an intuition he was never going to make it. He broke during the verdict. Gamboa has been my early favorite since he auditioned but when he sacrificed baby Jacee Badeaux during a group competition, I was discouraged.
